Job Description


Reporting to the President, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for full cycle accounting functions and leading an established team.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • General accounting, AR, AP, tax, internal and external reporting, control compliance.
  • Daily cash management.
  • Month-end closing process and reporting, quarterly bank compliance reporting.
  • Sales commissions reconciliation/accruals and processing.
  • Reconciliation of payroll/payroll tax postings.
  • Review A/P inventory transactions/purchase orders for assets purchased.
  • Process/submit/reconcile daily bank deposits and transactions.
  • Process bank wires as required.
  • Process and reconcile loan payments.
  • Reconcile monthly credit card statements and code to proper accounts.
  • Reconcile monthly bank statements.
  • Process monthly reports and record in QuickBooks (sales, sales tax, inventory).
  • Review General Ledger report and reconcile transactions for monthly close.
  • Enter and process A/P invoices and process A/P payments/print checks.
  • New vendor set -up.
  • Record all auto-pay A/P transactions and charge proper accounts.
  • Process journal entries and set up new general ledger accounts.
  • Process, review/post credits to vendors and customers.
  • Review and reconcile general ledger accounts daily for monthly financials.
  • Process/record all rental lease payments.
  • Assist with payroll processing.
  • Manage, develop, and train accounting team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, preferred.
  • CPA license a plus
  • 3-5 years experience in full-cycle accounting and finance
  • Supervisory skills
  • Solid knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks
  • Strong analytical problem-solving aptitude with creative solutions, ability to organize work with large amounts of information efficiently, manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively and professionally communicate, both in writing and verbally, with management, vendors
  • Able to work as a team player
  • Open to development of skills and knowledge
  • Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to change
  • Excellent customer service
