                      Assistant Controller - Dallas, Texas

Our Client, a boutique commercial real estate company in Dallas is seeking an Assistant Controller to join their small but dynamic team! The Assistant Controller will manage all aspects of accounting to include:

  • Manage all AP functions
  • Development of financial strategy
  • High-level financial reporting and analysis
  • Regular budget consolidation
  • Cash flow management
  • Improve efficiencies and reduce costs across the business
  • Debt management and collection
  • Assist in the preparation of company taxes
  • Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements
  • Manage payroll processing in PayCom
  • Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, budgets and actual expenditures
  • Work closely with management or executive teams to share reports and analysis findings

To qualify for the Assistant Controller role, you must possess the following:

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance highly preferred but will consider candidates with 5+ years of solid accounting experience
  • Commercial Real Estate experience and/or Big 4 or accounting firm industry experience highly preferred
  • 5+ years in a financial leadership role, preferably as a Director of Finance, Sr. Accountant or Assistant Controller in a small company environment
  • Experience supporting multiple entities preferred
  • Strong Excel experience required
  • Experience working in a financial related systems such as QuickBooks Online, MRI or Yardi strongly preferred
  • PayCom payroll system experience is a huge plus!
