Job Description

Credit Manager

This position will work closely with the financial controller and be responsible for customer billing and accounts receivable, collections, and assisting in the monthly close and financial reporting

  • Collect pertinent information for billing customers and manage customer receivables
    • Collect information for new customers including credit reports and checking references
    • Obtain tax exemption certificates
    • Insure tax groups are set up and assigned to all customers including exempt code for exempt customers
    • Invoice customers within 3 days of shipping POD/services acceptance notifications
    • Post customer payments on the day payment is received in bank
    • Maintain customer matrix on SharePoint detailing specific invoicing requirements for each customer
  • Review Customer aging report and follow up on past due invoices
    • Contact customer as soon as an invoice becomes past due
    • Document correspondence and follow up on payment commitments
    • Communicate any customer order issues with sales/service personnel
    • Prepare 120 day report monthly for the Blue Book and also send to Treasury department
  • File state sales tax returns
    • Update sales tax filing detail schedule and ensure sales and sales tax totals tie to AX
    • Ensure return is filed with each state based on the filing frequency and update the state tax filing table each month
    • Ensure tax codes and rates in AX are current
  • Prepare documentation and support for external/internal auditors

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Solid experience in managing the credit function in similar environments
  • Proficient with Excel including pivot tables
  • Microsoft Dynamics AX experience highly desirable
  • Knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications including Word, Power Point and Outlook
  • Deadline oriented with attention to detail
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to develop effective relationships and work well with others
