Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:  The Professional Services Technician is responsibility for project planning, scheduling, implementation and closure of assigned projects. They can execute assigned projects independently and as part of a team following the Professional Services procedures and work instructions.   Additionally, other tasks may be assigned as needed.   

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:                       
Project Delivery 
Ensure all technology that is being implemented is done by following industry best practices and the NIST/CIS security framework when documentation is available.   
Plan, schedule and implement Microsoft systems, virtualization cloud and workstation projects 
Plan, schedule and implement network level projects: WAN, LAN and Wifi connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security 
Work with the Project Manager to plan and document project delivery (Implementation and Schedule) 
Complete the approved Initiative Status and Review (IS&R) document and obtain sign off by the Project Manager 
Implement assigned projects based on the documented project delivery plan 
Provide regular updates on all projects that are in progress to the Project Manager, vCIO and Clients via the IS&R 
Document all work completed on the project and get sign off from Project Manager, vCIO, vITM, Reactive Services and the Client via the Project Closure Document 
Participate in Weekly PS huddles and be prepared to provide updates on all assigned projects that are upcoming, in progress or pending closure 
Participate in Weekly PS handovers and be prepared to review project signoff and prepare the vITM and RS teams to support newly implemented projects 
Maintain 80% Billable Time on ConnectWise Timesheets 
Keep timesheets up to date daily and submit them by end of day each Monday 
Have 90% of projects closed on schedule and on budget 
Identify project scope changes and bring to the attention of the Project Manager and vCIO promptly   
Follow change control processes for every project implemented 
Create and Maintain client templates for regular and most common changes 
Ensure all documentation related to an ongoing project is stored in MS Teams. All relevant documentation after the project is completed will be stored in ITGlue   

System documentation maintenance and review in ConnectWise and IT Glue 
Communicate with customers as required: keeping them informed of project progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages.
