Purchasing/Scheduling Specialist

Our Client, an energy manufacturing company based out of the Waco area has a need to bring on a Purchasing/Scheduling Specialist on a long term temporary basis. If you have a strong background in purchasing/procurement and currently unemployed, let's connect immediately! This is an urgent need!


  • 5+ years' experience in manufacturing, purchasing or sourcing
  • Advanced proficiency in MS-Office; must have experience working in an ERP system
  • Ability to build strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and oral
  • Strong organization skills, highly focused and acute attention to detail

What you’ll do:

  • Makes purchasing/sourcing decisions based on supplier availability, price, customer needs, and business policy
  • Quote and source pricing for parts and boards on a per job basis
  • Maintain productivity measurements including number of quotes completed per day, cycle time, and buy/quote ratio
  • Support gross profit goals by negotiating and controlling product costs, lead times, freight terms and purchase quantity requirements
  • Responsible for researching, resolving, and communicating all production discrepancies for both internal and external customers
  • Maintain and follow up on parts and returns to the vendor
