Job Description

The IT Administrator provides second level/escalated support to team members when the level 1 help desk is unable to resolve the issue. This individual will also coordinate and facilitate issues with vendors or multiples parties to resolve incident or problem tickets. 
  • Manage internal customer expectations with respect to IT services, identifying gaps between customer needs and IT capabilities, and work to find innovative solutions to those gaps.
  • Responsible for the overall technical health and stability of assigned communities (some of which may be located remotely) as well as team member satisfaction.
  • Serve as an escalation point for tier 1 help desk calls.
  • Coordinate with key vendors to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues and push for resolution.
  • Evaluate existing systems and/or user needs to analyze, design, recommend and implement system changes or new solutions.
  • Lead local project efforts associated with community technical improvement as well as be a key contributor in executing project deliverables for enterprise-wide IT initiatives.
  • Research, define and document processes and procedures related to IT support including but not limited to incident management, problem management, change management and asset management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or business preferred.
  • Three or more years of IT infrastructure experience with demonstrated progression of skills and responsibilities.
  • Advanced Professional Certification (e.g. MCDT, MCSE).
  • Ability and willingness to work in an environment providing 24x7x365 support to our communities.
  • Highly skilled in documenting written troubleshooting steps and instructions.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with team members and residents.
  • Experience developing and supporting local applications and networks, security practices and systems, knowledge of current and keep up with future IT trends.
  • Experience managing and supporting internal networks and related hardware, software and desktop applications (e.g. Windows Server 2012, Cisco IOS and hardware, VMWare and vSphere, Windows 7-10)
