Position Summary

The Personal Banker serves as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for customers, delivering personalized financial guidance and proactive support across deposit products, loans, and account services. This role is responsible for building strong client relationships, understanding individual financial goals, and providing tailored solutions while ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships by serving as a primary contact for personal banking needs
  • Provide personalized financial guidance across deposits, lending products, and account services
  • Educate customers on banking solutions and assist with account maintenance, service requests, and issue resolution
  • Perform teller functions as needed, including processing deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing in accordance with bank policies
  • Maintain accuracy in cash handling, balancing, and daily settlements
  • Exercise sound judgment and uphold ethical standards in all customer interactions
  • Adhere to all regulatory, security, and compliance requirements, including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) obligations
  • Stay current on bank products, services, policies, procedures, and applicable regulations through ongoing training
  • Identify opportunities to deepen customer relationships through proactive service, referrals, and solution-based conversations

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships
