Medical Insurance Authorization Specialist (Contract)

This is an open-ended assignment with strong potential for long-term employment based on performance and business needs.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Accurately enter and update information within internal systems
• Review documents for completeness and accuracy prior to processing
• Request insurance authorization for home health services in a timely manner
• Follow-up on insurance authorization requests from insurance company 
• Send medical records to the insurance company to complete an authorization request
• Communicate professionally with insurance companies regarding account verification and documentation
• Make outbound calls to obtain or clarify information as needed
• Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information
• Meet productivity and accuracy expectations in a fast-paced environment
• Assist with organizing and processing document backlogs efficiently
