Regional Director of Operations??? Healthcare - Dallas, TX (only local candidates will be considered)
Our client in specialized healthcare, is seeking a dynamic and strategic Regional Director of Operations (RDO) to lead and optimize their multi-state practice across seven states. In this pivotal role, you will drive operational excellence and ensure the smooth and efficient management of resources, surgical scheduling, labor costs, and provider workload distribution. This position requires 20-30% travel throughout the US.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Must be familiar with facility accreditation standards (AAAASF, JCAHO) and credentialing processes preferred.
- Ability to identify operational trends and translate insights into actionable strategies to improve performance.
- Must have exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to lead, manage conflict, resolve complex issues, and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Adaptable, resilient, and capable of making sound decisions in a fast-paced, multi-state healthcare environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an operational role within a healthcare setting, preferably clinical.
- MUST be open to travel.
- Direct the strategic allocation of clinicians across multiple states, ensuring efficient surgical schedules and appropriate facility coverage.
- Monitor and manage labor costs, including PRN staffing and premium labor (locums). Coordinate PTO/time-off scheduling to maximize workforce utilization while maintaining high care quality.
- Develop and implement coverage grids based on surgical volume forecasts, balancing clinical needs, clinician satisfaction, and financial goals.
- Partner with Recruiting and HR teams to design and execute clinician acquisition, onboarding, and retention strategies.
