Medical Billing Coder

Delta Dallas Dallas, TX (Onsite) Full-Time
$24.00/Hour
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Medical Billing Coder.

The Medical Billing Coder is responsible for reviewing clinical documentation and assigning accurate medical codes for medical services. This role ensures correct billing to insurance providers, supporting timely and accurate reimbursement.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assign appropriate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes for anesthesia procedures and services
  • Review medical records and documentation to justify the procedural codes (ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS codes) and ensure that they are accurate and in compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations, including HIPAA and other healthcare laws.
  • Submit accurate claims to insurance companies in a timely and compliant manner.
  • Manage the billing cycle.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines and regulations and attend continuing education courses as required to maintain CPC certification.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation of coding activities and communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders.

Requirements:
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification.
  • At least 1 year of experience in medical coding and billing.
  • Working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and medical billing software.
