AP Manager
Accounts Payable (AP) Manager
Position Type: Direct Hire
Location: Hybrid (DFW-based)
Compensation: $55K???$60K
Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Manager to join their finance team. This role is crucial for managing the accounts payable processes across multiple entities within the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle high volumes of transactions with accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable Management: Process and verify invoices from various vendors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Vendor Relations: Maintain vendor records, reconcile statements, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Expense Allocation: Oversee credit card coding and ensure accurate expense allocation to correct budgets.
- Tax Reporting: Manage W-9 collection and prepare year-end 1099 reporting.
- Payment Processing: Prepare payments via checks, ACH transfers, autopays, and credit card transactions.
- Employee Training: Train employees on expense reporting and related systems.
- Month-End Close: Collaborate with the Senior Accountant on month-end close activities and reporting.
- Audit Support: Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance AP processes for efficiency and accuracy.
Desired Skills & Experience

Education & Experience:
- 2-3 years of related accounts payable experience.
- Bachelor???s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
- Familiarity with Sage (preferred but not required).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Other Skills:
- Familiarity with payroll concepts (though direct payroll processing is not required).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
