Receptionist

Delta Dallas Plano, TX (Onsite) Contractor

Receptionist (Contract)

Location: Plano, TX
Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Dress Code: Business Casual

Delta Dallas is partnering with a client in the telecommunications industry to fill a Contract Receptionist position. This role encompasses a variety of reception, security, administrative, and vendor relations responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, excel at multitasking, and demonstrate strong organizational abilities.



Key Responsibilities



Reception and Security

  • Greet and manage visitors, contractors, vendors, job applicants, and incoming telephone calls in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Ensure proper security protocols by managing badge access and maintaining access/egress registers for all visitors and temporary employees.
  • Maintain critical records, such as Employee Health and Safety documents and Safety Data Sheets.
  • Update and manage office seating assignments using Excel spreadsheets.
  • Maintain and refresh site welcome materials, including PowerPoint presentations.


Administrative

  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and deliveries.
  • Maintain the corporate phone list and ensure updates are accurate.
  • Manage the postal budget and maintain postal equipment.
  • Oversee office supply inventory and manage associated budgets.
  • Handle outgoing domestic and international shipping.
  • Coordinate day porter duties to ensure offices and cubicles are prepared for occupancy.
  • Manage conference room scheduling and catering needs as required.
  • Assist with various projects and tasks as requested by team members.


Vendor Relations

  • Ensure contractors, suppliers, and vendors meet site requirements, including contractor orientation, licensing, and certifications.
  • Maintain contractor documentation by scanning and uploading orientation tests, certificates, and licenses to SharePoint, and updating tracking lists.
  • Manage and monitor first aid kits to meet OSHA compliance standards.


Experience and Skills Required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain a professional demeanor in a dynamic environment.
