Receptionist & Administrative Support ??? Uptown Dallas


We are seeking a polished, service-oriented Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to support our client's Dallas office. This role provides front-of-house hospitality, general office coordination, and administrative support to a Senior Counsel who benefits from assistance with drafting, formatting, and navigating basic technology tasks. The ideal candidate is steady, professional, tech-savvy, and highly proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook, with strong typing skills (50+ WPM preferred).

Key Responsibilities

Front Desk & Office Support

  • Create an exceptional first impression by greeting all visitors with professionalism, warmth, and a polished presence.
  • Coordinate conference room usage and support a welcoming, well-organized office environment.
  • Manage incoming/outgoing mail, weekly lunch coordination, supply stocking, and upkeep of reception and kitchen areas.
  • Perform light clerical tasks, including scanning, filing, copying, and submitting office service requests.
  • Provide general administrative support to attorneys and staff as needed; phone coverage is not required (calls are routed through one of the firm's other offices).

Administrative Support to Senior Counsel

  • Assist with typing handwritten notes, drafting and formatting documents, and organizing digital files.
  • Maintain and update the attorney???s Outlook calendar, ensuring accuracy and proactive follow-through.
  • Provide patient, calm support with routine technology tasks and help ensure the attorney stays organized and prepared.
  • Coordinate occasional personal appointments or simple personal-assistant tasks.

Qualifications

  • 1???3 years of administrative, reception, or customer-facing experience.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook; strong typing speed (50+ WPM preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; polished, friendly, and professional demeanor.
  • Steady, patient, and reliable approach to supporting others; strong emotional awareness and professionalism in interactions.
  • Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sound judgment.
